Fred Bagnall's (Charters Towers Historian) family lived at Mt. Hogan on the Ethridge Goldfield (began 1869), when Fred was a child (early 1900's). Mt. Hogan had a battery which was used by miner's of the district. Mt. Hogan lies between Gilberton and Christmas Hill Station near 60 Mile Creek.
