      Albion Defiance flour mill

The Albion flour mill was constructed by Scottish migrants, the Gillespie Brothers, during the economic depression of the 1930s.
It continued production for 72 years and remained Brisbane's sole working mill until operations ceased in 2004.
The mill was burnt down (arson) in November. The silos were demolished 8 October 2014. They were a 'recent' addition being built in the 1950s or 1960s.
