Reedy Creek, Cranky Rock

contributed by Booshman, taken on 6 January 2010
(contact Booshman about this picture)

Swimming hole in Reedy Creek beneath Cranky Rock. Local legend has it that a Chinaman, Charley Young, wanted for questioning about the stabbing death of Eliza Goldthorpe, leapt to his death from these rocks to avoid capture (and a possible lynching), in December 1875.
