Uranquinty is a village on the Olympic Highway in south New South Wales. Its closest capital city is actually Canberra (show me) in the Australian Capital Territory about 170km to the east (the capital of New South Wales is Sydney (show me), about 390km away to the east-northeast of Uranquinty). With a population of around 640, Uranquinty is one of the smaller towns in Australia. Uranquinty is at an altitude of approximately 199m. The nearest sea is the Tasman Sea which is part of the South Pacific Ocean about 270km east-southeast of Uranquinty.

Uranquinty is on the Sandy Creek.

The nearest more populous place is the city of Wagga Wagga which is 12km away with a population of around 44,000 (show me a map with Uranquinty and Wagga Wagga).
