Collarenebri is located on the Gwydir Highway in north New South Wales a distance of about 540km north-northwest from Sydney (show me). With a population of around 500, Collarenebri is one of the smaller towns in Australia. Collarenebri is at an altitude of approximately 144m. The nearest sea is the Tasman Sea which is part of the South Pacific Ocean about 440km east-southeast of Collarenebri.

Collarenebri is on the Barwon River.

The nearest more populous place is the town of Lightning Ridge which is 59km away with a population of around 1,800 (show me a map with Collarenebri and Lightning Ridge).

Collarenebri is on the intersection of the Gwydir Highway and the Collarenebri Mungindi Road.
