Moonee Beach is a coastal village on the Pacific Highway in northeast New South Wales. Its closest capital city is actually Brisbane (show me) in Queensland about 300km to the north (the capital of New South Wales is Sydney (show me), about 450km away to the south-southwest of Moonee Beach). Moonee Beach has a population of around 530 and is one of the smaller towns in Australia. Moonee Beach is at an elevation of approximately 11m above sea level.

The nearest more populous place is the town of Emerald Beach which is 5.5km away with a population of around 1,800 (show me a map with Moonee Beach and Emerald Beach).
