Amoonguna on the Todd River in the Northern Territory is a village about 1290km south-southeast of Darwin (show me). Amoonguna has a population of around 250 and is one of the smaller towns in Australia. Amoonguna is at an altitude of approximately 545m. Amoonguna is one of the southernmost villages in the Northern Territory. The nearest sea is the Arafura Sea which is part of the Indian Ocean about 890km north-northeast of Amoonguna.

The nearest more populous place is the city of Alice Springs which is 9.8km away with a population of around 25,000 (show me a map with Amoonguna and Alice Springs).
