Alice Springs on the banks of the Todd River in the Northern Territory is a city about 1290km south-southeast of Darwin (show me). Alice Springs has a population of around 25,000 and is one of the larger towns in Australia. Alice Springs is at an altitude of about 583m above sea level. Alice Springs is one of the southernmost cities in the Northern Territory. The nearest sea is the Arafura Sea which is part of the Indian Ocean about 890km north-northeast of Alice Springs.
