Cooktown on the Cooktown Developmental Road in Queensland is a coastal town about 1550km north-northwest of Brisbane (show me). With a population of around 1,600, Cooktown is one of the smaller towns in Australia. Cooktown is about 26m above sea level. Cooktown is one of the northernmost towns in Queensland.

Cooktown is just off the Endeavour River.
