The Blue Wren Mine is located on the banks of the Mitchell River in north Queensland a distance of about 1480km northwest from Brisbane (show me). The Blue Wren Mine is at an elevation of approximately 244m above sea level.

Small workings on a quartz vein for antimony were reported in cr 4712 to occur in this area, field inspection failed to locate any mineral occurrence. The 'grade is very high but the mineralisation does not exhibit strike extension.
