A 4-metre sculpture called Requiem for a Champion, created by the artist Yvonne George, featuring a bronze Stint perched on top of a galloping horse, was installed to commemorate the location of the former Williamstown racecourse.

Seaborn symbolizes the rich diversity of marine life that exists in Port Philip Bay. Many people are unfamiliar with much of the wildlife in the bay.

We tend to look at the surface of the water and only see what has been washed up on the shores. If you don’t snorkel or dive, the magical world of marine life beneath the waves remains a mystery.

The Altona Homestead was the first homestead in this area.
Construction of the building commenced in 1842 on an area of land now known as the R.J. Logan Reserve.
It was built by Alfred and Sarah Langhorne, the first settlers of Altona. They arrived in Port Phillip Bay , Australia on 14th July 1837.
