In the near vicinity of the Moreton Seamount the water depth ranges from about 2600 to 4760 metres deep (about 1420 to 2600 fathoms / 8520 to 15600 feet). Based on this, the Moreton Seamount seems to rise about 2160 metres (1180 fathoms / 7080 feet) above the sea floor .
