You'll find the village of Bothwell on the Lake Highway nestled amongst mountains such as Barrs Hill (603m), Nicholas Sugarloaf (607m) and Knight Point (646m) in central Tasmania. Bothwell is about 60km north-northwest of Hobart (show me). With a population of around 350, Bothwell is one of the smaller towns in Australia. Bothwell is at an elevation of approximately 351m above sea level. The nearest ocean is the Southern Ocean about 120km west of Bothwell.

Bothwell is on the River Clyde.

The nearest more populous place is the village of Oatlands which is 31km away with a population of around 580 (show me a map with Bothwell and Oatlands).
