The Mary River in the northwest of the Northern Territory starts at an elevation of 259m and ends at an elevation of 1.35m flowing into the Sampan Creek.
The Mary River drops around 258m over its 225km length.
The Mary River flows through Palm Lagoon (7m) and flows into Shady Camp Billabong (6m) on its way to joining the Sampan Creek.
