Red Cliffs is a town on the Calder Highway in northwest Victoria. Its closest capital city is actually Adelaide (show me) in South Australia about 340km to the west-southwest (the capital of Victoria is Melbourne (show me), about 460km away to the south-southeast of Red Cliffs). With a population of around 2,600, Red Cliffs is a medium sized town for Australia. Red Cliffs is at an altitude of about 74m above sea level. Red Cliffs is one of the northernmost towns in Victoria. The nearest ocean is the Southern Ocean about 310km southwest of Red Cliffs.
