Swan Hill is located on the Murray Valley Highway in northwest Victoria a distance of about 300km north-northwest from Melbourne (show me). Swan Hill has a population of around 9,800 and is a medium sized town for Australia. Swan Hill is at an elevation of approximately 75m above sea level. The nearest sea is the Tasman Sea which is part of the South Pacific Ocean about 300km south-southeast of Swan Hill.

Swan Hill is on the Murray River.

The nearest more populous place is the city of Echuca which is 140km away with a population of around 11,000 (show me a map with Swan Hill and Echuca).

Swan Hill is on the intersection of the Murray Valley Highway, the Sea Lake Swan Hill Road and the Moulamein Road.
