The Towrang Bridge built across the Towrang Creek was built by convicts from the Towrang Stockade in 1839. The Towrang Stockade was the chief penal camp in New South Wales from 1833 to 1843.
The bridge is on the original like of the Hume Highway. The design uses a segmental arch of dressed coursed sandstone.
