Walcha on the Oxley Highway in New South Wales is a town about 320km north of Sydney (show me). With a population of around 1,500, Walcha is one of the smaller towns in Australia. At about 1047m above sea level, Walcha is the twelth highest town in New South Wales. The nearest sea is the Tasman Sea which is part of the South Pacific Ocean about 130km east-southeast of Walcha.

Walcha is on the Apsley River.

The nearest more populous place is the town of Uralla which is 39km away with a population of around 2,300 (show me a map with Walcha and Uralla).
