The Sir Ross McClarty & Banksiadale hauling an excursion Train on the incline from Pinjarra to
Dwellingup on Hotham Valley Railway, Western Australia.

For Steam Enthusiasts, its satisfying enough to experience just one of these magnificent
Locomotives in action — to have two on hand is a real treat! They were working hard to pull the
Train up such an incline…a sight and sound to stir the heart of even the non-believer.

The long curve is an ideal point at which to attempt such a shot. Even the light direction is
favourable.

Camera was a 35mm Werra 1 with Zeiss Tessar Lens, using Ektachrome Film. (Sadly,
consumer Scanner slide copying attachments don't do justice to transparencies.)
