Robertson

This is one of several pictures taken by my father, Eric Saxton of the earthquake that hit Robertson in 1962. Many buildings were damaged -chimneys fell as well as the bell tower on the Anglican church. The post office was just one building that had a tarpaulan covering for many months. This picture shows the landslide on Macquarie Pass - it isolated the hairpin bend near the top of the Pass.
