Aerial view of swimmers and holiday-makers on the beach at Rainbow Bay, Coolangatta, Queensland, around 1948. On the right, a large congregation of tents and caravans forms a campsite on the grassy area between the road and the beach. Buildings and houses can also be seen on the hillside behind the beach.
