Crowds of people have gathered on the northern approach of the Grey Street Bridge for the official opening by His Excellency the Governor, Sir John Goodwin on the 30 March, 1932. The bridge has three main arches and approaches being 1,634 feet in length and built by M.R. Hornibrook Limited. ( Information taken from: Souvenir : official opening of Grey Street Bridge, 1932)
