The railhead at Quilpie is the main hub of the town. Brolga Street is the main street of Quilpie. In this photograph, the building second from left was the Quilpie Hotel, which Harry Corones and his nephew Jim Corones purchased ca. 1921. It was originally Cullaford's Boarding House. After a license was obtained and a bar built it became Cullaford's Hotel and later the Quilpie Hotel. (Description supplied with photograph)
