Miner, Born 1832? Creeslough, Co. Donegal Ireland. Married in Townsville Q. Bridget Queely, 7 sons and 1 daughter. Died on the 30 March, 1891 in Sydney. Buried at Nudgee. Roman Catholic. Arrived in Melbourne in 1853. Miner in Victoria, N.Z. and N.S.W. Arrived in Qld in 1865, Peak Downs, Star River, Cape River, Gilbert, Ravenswood gold field. Macrossan Army Camp (named after this man) is on the Flinders Highway between Charters Towers and the Burdekin River on the road to Townsville. The camp is no longer used but has memorials at the entrance.
