Resident surgeon of Brisbane Hospital, Dr.Frederick Barton, 1851-1863

Dr. Barton is pictured standing on the verandah of a brick building, possibly the Brisbane hospital? He is wearing a top hat, jacket and trousers. There is a woman sitting in a chair in the centre of the verandah and an empty rocking chair at the end. The verandah has carved wooden posts and a decorative edge under the roof. The house has a shingled roof and vines are growing on the wall.
