    Peace Rose Garden, Nedlands WA

Visitor to the garden.. Kookaburras are not native to WA, but are quite common after being introduced many years ago from the eastern states. As much as they are loved for their laughing call, they are serious predators and a threat to many small WA native bird species.
Having said that, there is nothing more pleasant than being awakened by the kookaburras' calls when camping in WA's far south west.
