A scenic view taken from the Railway trestle bridge which crosses Bourne Creek circa 1975 - before the rails were removed. The view is towards Cape Patterson with one of the many splendid Bass Strait surf beaches in this vicinity in the foreground. The railway was constructed around 1911 to bring coal from the Wonthaggi coal mines to Melbourne. The coal was mainly used for steam locomotives.
